A. Today I was tired most of the day.
B. I tried as hard as I could to avoid any contact with co-workers because they always barge in when I'm doing something. Closing my door and locking it prooved most effective. They also ALWAYS come in if they spot Keith in there talking to me. No, this is not a gangbang @_@.

Yaaay. I also walked the dog and battled bugs, and I took care of Boxer today. Such a sweet cat. I made the mistake of reading a Michael Moore book while there and..I don;t think I've ever wanted to burn the whole Bush family so bad. Like literally set them on FIRE.
And a lot of other bigwigs, but most notably, the Bushes.

ANYWAY.

I do have a rant I wanted to put up.

SO today I got kinda ticked off. It's an issue that pisses me off quite often really but today I hit breaking point because of the "automatic assumption!!!!"

I'm an anthro artist. I'm a furry artist. There's a very thin line dividing the two and I think a lot of people define them as the same thing anyway.

Anytime I mention I draw these things, it is met by nasty remarks, faces, and general assholery. Animal porn? Ew!!

Let me tell the assholes everywhere something: Just because I draw anthropomorphic pictures doesn't mean I "omg! Draw animals fucking and sucking cock!" And if I did, so what? But the fact that I don't really draw that except for the once in a while, random inspriration..it's insulting when people automatically think I do.

Anthropomorphic animals are drawn by PLENTY of people. Unfortunately most people are so stupid, they assume it's something wrong and gross, and then they turn right around and..OH! That's right! Donald duck is..a giant clothes wearing duck! Goofy's a dog! And Pete is a cat! Disney's animated Robin Hood anyone? The Mighty Ducks cartoons?

But nope, today it means "disturbed porn artist!"

And even then. I'll admit. I don't mind furry porn, I really don't. I've seen some that is quite well drawn or that I just..like. This doesn't mean "Omfg! I want to hump a dog/horse/mouse" or whatever! I don't understand why it is so unnacceptable to people that if we have these anthro characters, whether for a story or to represent ourselves, it is SO UNACCEPTABLE that they have romance or even sex in their lives.

I got news. I not really into your sex lives, either xD In fact they're just as unappealing as furry porn at times. Sure there's tons of hot human porn out there..but really, sex is sex whether you put your cock on a human or an illustrated dog. One turns you on, and the other doesn't and most of the time, shouldn't, but that doesn't mean it's hateful and disgusting and drawn by crazy perverted stupid people.

...A lot of these "disturbed minds" behind these furry porns..I've traded many messages with these people and had conversations with them. They're not weird fuckers who want to tack cat ears on you and hump you. They're..freakin people. They just like to draw animal characters, and who can blame them? I find human characters very unexciting for me. I don't hate human artists.

On of my favorite artists on FA is a mostly dirty, gay sex artist with his characters. He's also one of the only artists who has ever seemed to be good and at the same time CARE what other people draw, he's very nice, and I find talking to him easy.

I know a lot of fantasy and anime artists that are well...pretty nasty people. And I'm not meaning to make a generalization... my experiences have followed as such.

What pisses me off is people like cosplayers who scoff and jeer at people who like to go to their cons and costume events in their animal costumes. Um, excuse me? Dressing up as Inuyasha or Vash or I dunno, insert anime character here, doesn't scream "I'm better!" In fact in that case you're taking a character that already exists and dressing up as it. So you can't argue more creative either.

I got nothing against cosplayers, being one, but the fucking double standard pisses me off. I have had so many cosplay/anime fans make these disgusted faces at just a general furry, whether or not it's porn, and it's like "wtf is your problem? A anthropomorphic lion sitting on a beach or whatever is that insulting and stupid?"

Grow the FUCK up.

God..I guess I'm just mad about furries being bashed to bits. Drawing the zillionth dragon or wizard doesn't nmake you a better person, neiother does cosplaying or drawing your Bill Nye OC and borrowing someone else's universe.

Yes, I know there are limits. There are limits to every form of art I think (despite my argument, I am not a fan of the wild 'everything can be art. Look at my sqaushed mosquito on the wall!) and I know furry pushes that limit sometimes. I will occasional see something that...well..rump vore just isn't right. Omg.

I just think it's dumb that so manh frown on anthro artists and such. Whenever I say what I draw, I almost always get that reaction. And it's funny, because with Disney, and comics and things..anthro certainly has an obvious plac e in our world and I think it's ridiculous people treat it as some stupid animal fandom for perverts.
