You're hot when you bend over.
Dec. 8th, 2007 02:09 amToday didn't go as bad as I thought it would! We presented our salamander posters and then had them critiqued by the people at the stewardship center. Ours..had some typos and stuff and some bad labels, Chad was trying though, but that's okay. We actually get another week before we submit a final, he decided these would be drafts.
The best part is, I dun have to do anything ^^ Amy had talked to Alan, and then Chad and Chelsea. They're going to fix the poster, and told me when they're meeting and said I don;t have to come. I was like "I think I'll sleep in, but if later in the day or Sunday night you want me to.." and they were like "NO! You did most of the work so you sit this one out."
...Awesome!
I also talked to Fritz, guy working there, and I might be able to analyze some of their data on frogs and vernal pools, which is something I am WAY interested in, like you people have no idea. ...K maybe Keith.
Got home, and had some dismay..my computer wouldn't turn on and only beeped. Cue panicking. I e-mailed Dad and stuff. I panicked al through Dr. Phil..took a shower, calmed down...in the end he opened up the thing and vacummed, and also he thinks when he nudged a plug in it went in better, may have been loose. He said not to worry about the vacuming, even if I thought of it I shouldn't do it unless I really knew how.
And then, one of my online friends called me! ^_^! I was so excited, I'd been waiting. Her name is Emily and we met on DC and have chatted for a while. She's a REALLY nice person, and talking with her was a blast, she was so hyper! She was driving near Baltimore while we were on the phone, told me she was about a mile and a half from the convention center, and stuff. It was...like I was there in a way x3
She was telling me about this Christmas tree place back home where she grew up and..well I'll just say it includes a train ride and some bunnies and I wanted to go. Which cued this phrase: "Someone from VERMONT wants to see MY trees!?"
That made me laugh SO hard. It's one of those 'you had to be there things' I think, but omg. Phrase of the frikkin week. That was a lot of fun though and hopefully thar shall be more phone calls :3
After that I watched a really good special on CBS, where they had a bunch of singers doing hit movie songs. Loooooot of good stuff in there. I think my favorite was when Queen Latifa did "Hey Big Spender". That was fantastic!
Then after all the virus scanning, disk scanning, blahdeeblah, I finally got online.
SO HERE I AM.
AND HERE I GO. But first I am going to do a fun thing I saw on elsieaustin's journal =3
Oh and I just itched my nose and heard a rattling sound. Is that bad? ..Must be the headphones. xD

Rules: post ten song lyrics (no more than three or four lines) that you find insightful, and then one that has struck you as funny in the past couple of days.
The problem is I don't really find them insightful...really..I just want some that ..move me? Lol. They..might be somehwat insightful?
Anyway:
1. Any Other World - Mika
In any other world
You could tell the difference
And let it all unfurl
Into broken remnants
2. Wouldn't it be Nice - Beach Boys
You know it seems the more we talk about it
It only makes it worse to live without it
But lets talk about it
Wouldn't it be nice?
3. At the End of the Day - Army of Freshmen
Never look back on what we had,
Just try to believe in what we have
Just listen close to the beat of my heart,
It's yours for the taking!
4. Alright - Supergrass
Are we like you,
I can't be sure,
Of the scene, as she turns,
We are strange in our world
5. Enjoy the Silence - Mike Shinoda version, although it doesn't really matter lyrics wise...
Words like violence
Break the silence
Come crashing in
Into my little world
6. Strangers Like Me - Tarzan Soundtrack/Phil Collins
Whatever you do, I'll do it too
Show me everything and tell me how
It all means something
And yet nothing to me
7. Fields of Gold - Sting
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in the fields of gold
8. Wicked Game - HIM
The world was on fire and no one could save me but you.
It's strange what desire will make foolish people do.
I never dreamed that I'd love somebody like you.
And I never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you
9. Dance, Dance - Fallout Boy
I'm two quarters and a heart down
And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds
These words are all I have so I'll write them
So you need them just to get by
10. With a Little Help from My Friends - Originally by the Beatles (But I like the version by Joe Anderson and Jim Sturgess)
What would do think if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song,
And I'll try not to sing out of key.
FUNNY SONG. Hmmm....
Dick in a Box - Justin Timberlake
Step 1: Cut a hole in a box,
Step 2: Put your junk in that box,
Step 3: Make her open the box...
And that's the way you do it!!
